Celeste's Bio

Celeste Haldane is serving her third term as Chief Commissioner of the BC Treaty Commission. Celeste is Musqueam (Coast Salish) and Metlakatla (Tsimshian) from the Sparrow and Haldane families and has European ancestry.

She is a practising lawyer and was appointed King’s Counsel in 2019. Her specializations are Indigenous law and corporate governance. Celeste holds a Master of Laws in Constitutional Law from Osgoode Hall Law School and a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia.

Celeste is an active volunteer and currently serves on the YWCA Vancouver Board, in addition to several other organizations.

Selena's Bio

Selena is Vice President of Private Wealth – Associates and Operations at Nicola Wealth and is a “heart-centered hype girl.”  She says, “I always choose energy,” and that is her guiding principle both personally and professionally.  With over 20 years in financial services, she holds a CFP®, CPA, and CMA designation.

Committed to driving initiatives that foster talent, develop leadership, and support business growth in the Private Wealth Division, she is a community champion, co-chair of the Nicola Inclusion Committee, and host of our Women’s LEAD podcast. Outside of work, she volunteers with organizations that advance equity for youth, women, and marginalized communities. Her proudest role is being a mother of two.

Davida's Bio

Based in Vancouver, she leads key administrative and operational initiatives that support advisors, branches, and internal partners across the Private Client Group.

With over 40 years of experience in Wealth Management, she brings deep expertise in advisor support, compensation programs, revenue structures, and branch operations, and is a valued contributor to firm‑wide policy and strategic discussions.

Outside of work, Davida enjoys spending time with her family—especially her young grandchildren, Mara and Cole.

Amanda's Bio

Amanda Sayfy is a highly accomplished non-profit executive with over 15 years of experience in strategic leadership, resource development, and advocacy. As the current Executive Director of Dress for Success Vancouver, Amanda brings a robust background in fund development, donor relations and program management, having previously served as VP, Development & Communications at Family Services of Greater Vancouver. Her career also includes impactful roles at BC Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. With a values-driven approach, Amanda is dedicated to expanding DFSV’s mission of supporting equitable employment access and fostering community resilience in Vancouver and across the Lower Mainland.

Seth's Bio

Seth Allen is the Founder and Senior Portfolio Manager of Cadence Financial Group at Raymond James Ltd, leveraging over 25 years of expertise in Global Asset Wealth Management. Renowned for his ability to identify market patterns, Seth fosters strong client relationships through trust, transparency, and ongoing education. His comprehensive wealth solutions involve a deep discovery process to align with clients' goals, ensuring capital security and maximum returns. Seth is also active in the Métis Nation British Columbia and the Her Wealth Society, advocating for financial empowerment. He serves on multiple advisory boards and mentors students at Simon Fraser University’s Beedie School of Business.  In his spare time, Seth enjoys contributing to various charitable initiatives, as well as cooking, yoga, travel, and reading the Stoics.

Laura's Bio

Laura is the Head of Business Development at the Cadence Financial Group and the Founder/CEO of Her Wealth.  With more than 20 years of experience in the marketing and advertising industries, she leads the creative development, marketing initiatives, and client experiences of the group. 

She has created an international volunteer program that organizes trips to educate and empower women abroad; her efforts have spanned across Belize, Nepal, Ghana, Peru, India, and the Philippines.  Laura has always been passionate about entrepreneurship, running one of the largest membership communities for female entrepreneurs in Toronto before franchising and selling her business; she was named one of Canada’s Top Young Entrepreneurs for her efforts.  She was also an international professional dancer for 15+ years and continues to fuel this passion by being a master barre trainer.  She is currently working towards her CFP® designation and is a proud mom to her daughter, Annika.
